BugMap Terms of Use

Effective June 18, 2026.

Permitted use

You may use BugMap to record, visualize, save, and export insect occurrence and biodiversity field data in accordance with applicable law and the terms of the map providers shown in the application.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of observations, the rights to uploaded images and logos, and whether precise coordinates may safely be shared. Do not publish sensitive species locations without appropriate review.

Map data

Base maps and imagery are provided by third parties. Availability, accuracy, licensing, and attribution requirements are governed by those providers.

No warranty

BugMap is provided as is. It is a field documentation and visualization tool, not a substitute for professional scientific validation, navigation, emergency response, or regulatory advice.

Service changes

Features, providers, and these terms may change as the software develops.
